On the Events Dedicated to the 40 Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Russia and Lesotho
On 1 February 2020, Russia and Lesotho celebrated the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. On this occasion Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation H.E.Mr.Sergey Lavrov and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of the Kingdom of Lesotho H.E.Mr.Lesego Makgothi exchanged congratulatory messages.
The Ministers commended traditionally friendly nature of Russia-Lesotho relations, confirmed mutual commitment of Moscow and Maseru to strengthen fruitful interaction in political, economic and other areas as well as to enhance coordination on a variety of issues of international and regional agenda.
On 3-7 February 2020, the Russian Embassy in Pretoria hosted a photo exhibition dedicated to this remarkable date. The exhibition was visited by High Commissioner of Lesotho in Pretoria H.E.Mr.Nehemia Sekhonyana Bereng and Lesotho High Commission officials.
