Agreement between Russia and South Africa regarding the waiver of visa requirements
The Protocol between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of South Africa on the reciprocal repeal of visa requirements for foreign travel passports, that was concluded by an exchange of official documents, came into force on 30 March 2017.
Under the Protocol’s provisions, citizens of Russia and South Africa travelling without the intention of working, studying or living in the other country’s territory, are free from visa requirements and can enter, stay or transit without a visa for a duration of up to 90 days.
Agreement between Russia and South Africa regarding the waiver of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic or service/official passports
On 15 December 2010 came into effect an Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of South Africa regarding the waiver of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic or service/official passports, signed in Moscow on 5 August 2010.
Citizens of the country of one Party, who are holders of valid diplomatic or service/official passports of that country, may enter, exit, transit and stay in the country of the other Party for a period of ninety (90) days from date of first entry without having to obtain a visa.
